All garments unless specifically listed are 100% silk.
Silk should be spot cleaned gently in cold or tepid water and laid flat or carefully hung to drip dry in the shade. dry cleaning only rarely. vodka in a spray bottle helps remove odor and bacteria.
Silk fades over time, this is to be expected and is a natural part of the aging process. We like to think this adds to the life and individuality of the garment.
if you must was the garment Hand wash it! only use spot cleaner on necessary areas and wash without detergent. if the machine is your only option, the handwash cycle of your machine with cold water no spin. Always dry flat then steam gently to relax the garment. although hand washing is best.
We recommend products by The Laundress for your soap and spot cleaning needs.

Salacious Fruit is known for its Re-Imagined sets, each of which are made from vintage and antique Japanese kimono cloth. As with any vintage or old thing each garment may have small imperfections, this is part of what makes each piece unique.
When designing any stains, blemishes, fading, and imperfections on the original garment are taken into consideration and we do our best to minimize the effect. We list the original material’s known fabric contents and care instructions on our website Here, and with the final garment upon delivery.
For our other fabrics we use silks, wools, and linens sourced from culturally significant mills around the world. For more information on each of our mills please visit our “Who Are..?” compendium.
